Obsesiones

Lucky me.

Ademas tengo tiempo de disfrutar de mis obsesiones.Yo no tengo intereses. Nunca he tenido. Tengo obsesiones.

Me Poking Kevin with a stick.

Me: It is not fun is you don't complain.
Him: You are dating a behaviorist. I am not going to reinforce your negative behaviors.

12 Lessons that I learned in 2014

1. Don’t believe everything you think.
2. If someone you love does not come back, he/she has set you free.
3. The bad news: Nothing lasts forever. The good news: Nothing lasts forever.
4. Locksmiths in Germany can be tricky, evil, and despicable creatures.
5. Home organization will save you a lot of time... A LOT.
6. You should do less with more focus: “by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”.
7. You should try to learn from the mistakes of others so that you do not have to do them yourself.
8. Learn at least two of the telephone numbers of your friends by heart.
9. Procastination will always make you spend money, undergo stress or regret... Or all of the above.
10. You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of achieving what you want is found in your daily routine.
11. If you love someone or something, care enough about yourself to make room and time for them in your life.
12. Problems, like Babobabs, start out by being little. If you attend them too late you might never be able to get rid of them. Before they grow big... do something! Otherwise your entire little planet can split into pieces (The Little Prince knows better).

Welcome 2015!!

2015

New Years eve is my favorite day of the year.

Since I was a child I waited for  it impatiently. Since I can remember, I have always wrote my resolutions, do the rituals. Red underware, suitcases... All the hope and the motivation and the optimism and the euphoria. "This will be the best year ever".
All of them coming from the same untold promise: We can reinvent ourselves.

Tomorrow I will wake up. I will be a new person. A better person.
A better version of myself. More disciplined, more focused, more reliable.

A delusion able to make us feel the reassurance that we can try again... and miracously, it works wonderfully. At least for me. At least for a while.

This year I have (again) a long long list of resolutions and wishes and I am convinced that this year (finally and seriously) I will really, really, really do my best to have them all fulfilled. I do not remember a year in which I was more motivated... but I do not trust much my selective memory anymore.

I make my family and friends tired from listening to phrases such as: "I have never EVER been so happy", "I have never felt like this before", "This is the most wonderful moment of my life"... and I always mean them.

The present is always the best part of my life,.. and I know that I am incredibly lucky for having such a feature in my character...  It has made my life such an enjoyable and wonderful journey.

They say that we only live once. But if we do it right, once is enough.

And here I am. Today I  woke up. I am a new person. A better person.  A better version of myself.

Happy new year!
